Frequently Asked Questions

How can I keep the developer I am paired with, as a dedicated staff member for my company?

We understand the need to remain consistent in the development world, so we offer a flexible way for you to keep the same developer as long as you want them. For a low minimum guarantee of 24 hours per week, you can lock down a developer and use them from 24 – 40 hours per week as you wish. They will never be hired out to another client.

If I want a developer to work for me for an ongoing basis, do I get to interview them before making a selection?

Yes! First, we will try to match you with a developer that is already on staff, since we know their personality and skill set. However, if we don’t have what you are looking for, we will recruit and shortlist developers that fit your desired needs. You will be able to interview the finalists and give them a test project before we hire them.

What if I am not happy with my developer, will Allshore take care of me and find someone else?

Absolutely! If we feel your developer is not performing up to Allshore standards, we will find quick and capable replacements. We heavily screen all of our workers, and will never put a developer with a client that we are uncomfortable with.

I don’t have time to babysit a developer; how can this work for me?

We only have senior developers, so they have the ability and initiative to think and work on their own. We also use the award winning project management software, Basecamp. You can upload all project specs, milestones, to-do lists and any comments in Basecamp. Your developer can work directly off those to-do lists, and update them when they finish them. However, we do highly recommend that you try to be available on Skype at least for a few minutes of the day to discuss any questions or issues your developer may have. If this isn’t a possibility, please look into hiring a project manager through us, to coordinate tasks and work directly with your developer when you are unavailable.

How up to date are your developers with their skills and abilities?

We hire only the best English-speaking developers, with a minimum of five years experience, possessing skill sets to fulfill your staffing requirements. Our developers have access to our ongoing training programs. We are strongly committed to providing the most current, highly skilled developer base in the world. Our developers work as a team and help each other learn during our training breakout sessions. We also hire professors from local Universities to come in and provide occasional lectures, to enhance our developer’s abilities.

What is Allshore’s role if I have an offshore developer?

As a client of Allshore, we guarantee you will be in good hands. We provide American HR and oversight for all development work. Allshore manages recruitment, training and legal responsibilities, regarding your developer. We are continually seeking to form long-term relationships with all clients, and we strive to provide the best customer service to achieve your companies goals.

Am I responsible for paying taxes or insurance if I take on a full-time developer?

No, you are not. When sub-contracting with Allshore, you only need to send us a 1099 at the end of the year.

What is the penalty if I want to end my relationship with Allshore?

We hope this is never the case, but if it does happen, we just ask that you give us a two-week written notice. There are no long-term contracts and no early termination fees. We want to earn your business every day.

What are the working conditions like for my offshore developer(s)?

Our offices are well-equipped, with Windows PCs and MacBook Pros, full kitchen, air conditioners and heaters, flat screen televisions, premium desks and leather office chairs, and office security guards. Our developers work from 5:30 p.m. – 2 a.m (their time). In order to get senior level developers to work this shift, we have to provide above average salaries and above average work environments. Our developers love working for us, because we care about them.

Everything seems too good to be true, so what’s the catch?

There is no catch. Allshore makes a profit through a small hourly mark-up of its developers. It is money well-earned and well worth the money for the peace of mind we provide.
